Description
In the last two years Peterson produced quite a few series with a very deep rustication. The surface looks rough, but the pipes are actually quite pleasant to hold. The surface area is increased dramatically - perfect for smokers that tend to overhead their pipes.
But wood is wood, and all wood will burn if a certain threshold is exceeded. So be careful and check the tobacco chamber from time to time. The area where the smoke channel ends is most prone to ‘burners’. The higher the tensile strength, the hotter your pipe will get. If you see small fissures bring the pipe to your tobacconist and it can be saved. But once the fissure turns to a hole, your pipe is lost.
