Background:
The brothers Edward and William were the sons of company founder Benjamin Barling. Like their father, they became very talented silver smiths. This first non-filter Barling series is dedicated to Edward. The stem is very slim and the mouthpiece thin and long - a beautiful combination. The purity of the silver is certified through Hallmarks in England. They also show the production date and the manufacturer. The brothers used the Hallmarks ‘EB’ and ‘BW’ Background: Barling was founded 1812 in London. 2021 Oliver Kopp - Kopp pipes acquired the name rights. The complete Barling collection was designed bei Oliver Kopp himself. His goal is to preserve the original spirit and tradition of this venerable brand. Oliver Kopp already designed many series for Peterson when Tom Palmer was the owner. After loosing the brand in 2010, he put all his energy in his new found pipe brand Rattray’s. Only 10 years later Peterson returned to Kopp pipes under new leadership. Since then all brands coexist in peaceful harmony under our roof in Offenbach.
